Romatem İstanbul Fulya is part of the Romatem network and delivers outpatient rehabilitation in İstanbul. The international office arranges admission, airport transfer and interpreting for patients coming from abroad.
What this centre is used for
Fulya is an outpatient centre in central İstanbul, open since 2012 in the city's medical district. It runs specialised programmes in orthopaedic, neurological, sports, cardiopulmonary, paediatric and cognitive rehabilitation, with robotic gait training, upper limb robotics and hydrotherapy on site.
For patients from abroad it is the usual choice when daily sessions rather than an inpatient stay are needed — after an inpatient block at Çamlıca, or for a programme that never required a bed. Being in central İstanbul matters practically: onward medical referral, imaging, laboratory work and specialist opinion are all quickly arranged.
Getting here
İstanbul is served by two international airports — İstanbul Airport on the European side and Sabiha Gökçen on the Asian side — with direct flights from most of Europe, the Gulf, Central Asia and North Africa. Fulya is on the European side.
Transfer time between the two sides of the city varies considerably with traffic, so we advise on which airport to use once we know your programme dates. International patients are met at the airport and driven to the centre or to their accommodation.
Planning a stay from abroad
Send imaging, operation notes and discharge summaries before you book. We assess them and tell you whether the programme is appropriate, what it would involve and what it would cost, in writing, before you commit to travelling.
Because Fulya has no beds, patients stay in nearby accommodation, which we help arrange, and attend daily. Where the assessment shows that an inpatient programme is the right answer, we say so and propose the centre that provides it.
