Romatem Baku is part of the Romatem network and delivers outpatient rehabilitation in Baku. The international office arranges admission, airport transfer and interpreting for patients coming from abroad. short-term inpatient care for selected programmes
What this centre is used for
Outpatient neurological and orthopaedic rehabilitation with robotic gait training, upper limb robotics and hydrotherapy, open in Baku since 2015. For selected clinical programmes the centre also provides short-term inpatient care, which is confirmed case by case at assessment rather than assumed.
It is the group's centre in the Caucasus and serves patients from Azerbaijan and the surrounding region. The technology provision covers the main neurological rehabilitation programmes, so most patients who would otherwise travel to Türkiye for those programmes can be treated closer to home.
Getting here
Heydar Aliyev International Airport serves Baku with direct flights from Türkiye, the Gulf, Russia, Central Asia and much of Europe.
For patients from the region this is generally a shorter and simpler journey than travelling to Türkiye, which matters for programmes lasting several weeks and for families travelling with the patient.
Language and practical arrangements
Assessment and therapy are delivered in Azerbaijani, Turkish and Russian. English-language provision is confirmed case by case before you book rather than assumed.
This matters particularly for speech and language therapy, which has to be delivered in the patient's own language. We will tell you before you travel whether we can provide it.
