Romatem İzmir is part of the Romatem network and delivers outpatient rehabilitation in İzmir. The international office arranges admission, airport transfer and interpreting for patients coming from abroad.
What this centre is used for
An outpatient centre in Konak, open since 2022, serving the Aegean region in orthopaedic, neurological, sports, cardiopulmonary, paediatric and cognitive rehabilitation, with upper limb robotics and hydrotherapy. The hydrotherapy provision makes it well suited to orthopaedic and rheumatological programmes and to patients who need to start exercise in water before land work is tolerable.
Robotic gait training is not on site here. Where a programme requires it we will tell you at assessment and recommend the appropriate centre rather than substituting something else.
Getting here
Adnan Menderes Airport serves İzmir with direct international flights across Europe, particularly seasonally, and frequent domestic connections through İstanbul and Ankara.
Planning a stay
Send records before booking. We assess and state in writing what we think the programme should be, what it would achieve and what it would cost.
İzmir has no beds: patients from abroad attend daily from nearby accommodation, which we help arrange. Where the technology you need is at another centre, we say so at that point rather than after you have arrived.
