Privacy policy

How we collect, use and protect your data.

Who is responsible

The data controller is Özel ROMATEM Fizik Tedavi ve Rehabilitasyon Sağlık Grubu, Selenium Plaza, Dikilitaş, Hakkı Yeten Cd. No:10, 34349 Şişli/İstanbul, Türkiye (telephone 444 76 86, email info@romatem.com, registered electronic mail romatemfiziktedavi@hs01.kep.tr). This policy covers personal data processed through this website under Turkish Law No. 6698 on the Protection of Personal Data (KVKK) and, for visitors in the European Economic Area, the GDPR.

Health information is special category data under both regimes. That is why the contact form asks for explicit consent as a separate step rather than treating your use of the form as agreement.

What this website actually collects

The contact form collects your name, your phone number with its country code, and — if you choose to give them — your email address and a question in your own words, together with your consent. It also records which page it was sent from and, on a condition page, which condition that page describes. As proof of your consent, it keeps the time of sending, the IP address the form was sent from and the version of this policy in force at that moment.

That is the complete list. We do not ask for a national identity number, a passport number, a date of birth or a payment detail anywhere on this site.

What this website does not collect

This site does not accept file uploads. Imaging and medical reports are not attached to the form — if you indicate you have them, a secure link is sent with our reply. We do not accept special category data through a channel we have not secured for it.

No analytics or advertising tool runs unless you agree to it in the cookie window; the cookie policy lists each one. There is no third-party form service and no live chat widget on this site. Before you make a choice, opening a page sends no request to any other company's server.

Cookies and embedded video

Until you make a choice in the cookie window, the only cookie is the one that stores that choice. With your consent, Google Analytics and Meta Pixel set their own cookies; Meta Pixel never runs on medical pages, and neither receives anything you type into a form. The cookie policy lists each cookie and explains how to withdraw consent.

The video at the top of the home page and the About page is served from our own server and plays silently as the page opens; nothing is requested from YouTube, and if your device is set to reduce motion it does not play. Every other video is embedded behind a facade: the thumbnail is served from our own server and nothing is requested from YouTube until you click play, which is stated next to the player. The maps on the Centres and Contact pages work the same way: Google Maps is loaded only after you choose to show the map.

Your rights and how to use them

You may ask what we hold, request a copy, ask for correction or deletion, withdraw consent, or object to processing. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing already carried out lawfully before you withdrew it.

Requests are answered within 30 days. You may also complain to the Turkish Personal Data Protection Authority (KVKK Kurumu) or, in the EEA, to your national supervisory authority.

Where to next

Talk to someone before you decide

Four ways to reach the international office, depending on where you are. Nothing here commits you to treatment — a second opinion, a video consultation and a written plan are all free, and you can start with a question.
