The investment planned for the year

“We enter 2024 with a very important investment. In Çamlıca, on the Anatolian side of İstanbul, we are opening a health complex in the hotel and physical therapy and rehabilitation centre concept. The project has ten thousand square metres of indoor space and puts rehabilitation for people with disabilities at its centre; preparations are complete. It will create employment and, under our health tourism role, will first host patients from our near geography. With 48 beds it is the most comprehensive and comfortable inpatient rehabilitation centre we have designed so far for patients from anywhere in the world.”

“In İstanbul we continue at our centre in Fulya on the European side, with advanced technology and an experienced team, and we are considering a hotel-hospital investment on the European side in the same concept.”

Plans abroad

“Preparations for a physical therapy and rehabilitation centre in Germany are under way, and in Cyprus we are building a centre in a hotel concept with a tourism group. What sets us apart in our field is the know-how we have gained in war rehabilitation, sports rehabilitation and robotic rehabilitation. That experience strengthens our hand in our hospitals and in our centres abroad. With our centres, Romatem is among the important destinations for health tourism in physical therapy and rehabilitation.”

On growth

“Seventeen years ago we set out from Samsun; today, with centres in Bursa, Kocaeli, İstanbul, İzmir and Ankara, and abroad in Baku and the Montenegro centre we opened last summer, we have become a chain physical therapy and rehabilitation health group, with 580 staff in Türkiye and 630 in total. We will keep creating employment with new investment. We are business people and we invest in the business: growth through investment, not accumulation. Our mission is to help people live a healthier life and move freely. Our motto is ‘life is movement’. In that direction we invest in high-technology treatment and work to offer our patients everything modern medicine can.”
