Romatem Move Cyprus, integrated with an accessible hotel in Yeniboğaziçi, Famagusta and equipped with new-generation robotic devices, has started admitting patients. The centre has received the Global Health Tourism Accreditation Certificate, approved by the World Health Tourism Council, from the Cyprus Health Tourism Council.

Visiting the centre with members of the council’s accreditation board, council president and member of parliament Dr. Ahmet Savaşan said the inspection process had been completed and the certificate awarded. He recalled that the investment, a partnership between Oscar and Romatem, grew out of a protocol signed while Northern Cyprus held the presidency of the World Health Tourism Council, and that the centre began serving both residents and health tourists after being licensed by the Ministry of Health.

A 1,000 m² rehabilitation floor and a 42-room accessible hotel

Dr. Nüket Vural, the physician in charge, explained that the centre works together with a fully accessible 42-room hotel built to five-star standards, and that a team of 30 specialists provides physical therapy and rehabilitation, above all robotic rehabilitation, across more than 1,000 square metres.

Individually planned programmes cover musculoskeletal conditions, neurological conditions, rehabilitation after orthopaedic surgery and sports injuries. The centre also follows and rehabilitates stroke, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and Parkinson’s disease with multidisciplinary, evidence-based methods.

Robotics, movement analysis and hydrotherapy

Dr. Vural said the MOVE concept takes physical therapy beyond conventional methods, with a personalised plan built around each patient’s needs and goals. New-generation robotic devices, balance systems and movement analysis are used, and treatment is supported by hydrotherapy indoors and outdoors.

The team includes physicians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, hydrotherapists and nurses. The stated goal is not only to reduce pain but to prepare patients for a strong, active and independent life.
