Health tourism authorisation

Our authorisation, scope and registered title.

Why this page exists

International health tourism activity in Türkiye requires authorisation from the Ministry of Health, and both the authorised facility and any intermediary must hold a valid certificate.

The regulation also requires that the institution name and titles used on a website match the authorisation certificate exactly. This page exists so you can check that, and so you can ask us for the certificate itself.

What to verify before booking with any provider

Ask for the health tourism authorisation certificate and check that the entity named on it is the entity you are contracting with. A brand name is not an entity, and the two are frequently different.

Ask which specific facility your treatment will take place in, and confirm that facility is covered. Ask whether an intermediary is involved and, if so, whether they hold their own authorisation.

Promotion rules that apply to this site

Since November 2025, Turkish rules require health tourism promotion to be conducted through a separate international medium. Patient stories and price information may appear there while remaining restricted domestically.

This site is that separate international medium. It is directed at people outside Türkiye and it is why it exists as its own domain rather than as a language tab on the Turkish site.

Certificate details

The certificate, its scope and the registered title of the operating entity for each centre are available from the international office on request.

Ask us directly and we will send you the current certificate rather than a number typed on a web page. That is the more useful answer anyway.

Where to next

Talk to someone before you decide

Four ways to reach the international office, depending on where you are. Nothing here commits you to treatment — a second opinion, a video consultation and a written plan are all free, and you can start with a question.
